Wedding Photographer Courts Brides with Comedy
San Francisco, CA (ContentDesk) April 26, 2006 -- The Webster Hill Photography Agency has launched a new website, weddingoverload.com, aimed at keeping wedding planning... funny?
Sporting the tagline Not your mothers podcast , the site was invented by the San Francisco company as a virtual radio station designed to poke fun at the wedding industry.
The site hosts weekly podcasts and links to web radio stations that feature the Wedding Overload talk show.
Recent episodes included The myth of Bridezilla and other tall tales and a segment debunking wedding stereotypes, entitled Old men in tuxedoes. Natalie Sousa, founder of Webster Hill, serves as one of the on-air personalities at Wedding Overload.
Were not making fun of brides or weddings.
Its actually the opposite.
Were just challenging some of the popular wisdom out there.
The industry is crowded with vendors and full of conflicting information.
We want to offer an alternative to the high stress vibe, and get some laughs in. Sousa is shy to call herself a comedienne.
Were not trained comedians.

Sousa smiles, Theres definitely a lot of humor in there, but our information is also useful. Sousas partner and co-host, Nelson Rodriguez, explains why they were willing to challenge their own industry.
Webster Hill is a great business to run, and its still our main focus, but its exciting to work on a project that is not really designed to make money.
This is just something we thought would be fun.
Of course, the exposure is nice, but we think were doing something people will genuinely enjoy. Sousa and crew interview other vendors in the wedding industry, from DJs to florists, looking for behind-the-scenes info.
Typical interviews include questions like Whats the oldest wedding cake youve ever eaten? and Whats the one dress trend you wish would go away?
Sousa insists that weddingoverload.com is NOT the Howard Stern of weddings.
Were not edgy, or rude.
Were just having fun.
